Hump Day Thoughts

#1- I am super excited that I've made 100 posts. :) And even more excited that I now have 19 followers! My friend John started following me the other day!! Wooty-woo! Thank you, John! (And everyone else!) I'm thinking of stepping up my goal of 25 to "before spring break". I'll think about it. I don't like falling short of my goals... so.. we'll see.

#2- Intermediate Accounting II seriously took a well functioning, normal, highly competent girl and has made me want to cry almost every class. I just never know how to approach things, and I feel as though I'm not supposed to ask questions. Harsh. I might get my first non-A in the business school this semester. :( And in accounting! That one might hurt my pride a little.

#3- I really wish I had some fresh lemon wedges to go with my splenda/water :) (And my splenda I mean the wal-mart brand version)

#4- I keep staying up late playing on twitter and trying to get up at 5:30AM. It's not working. Tonight I'm going to try to be asleep by 11... we'll see.

#5- I want an internet friend. I know this is silly but when I was little I always wanted a pen-pal and I feel like having an internet friend is basically the equivalent to that 'now a days' *whiney voice* Guyssss someone be my friendddd. (Who hasn't already been dazzled and graced with my wonderful presence in the 'real world'!)

#6- My birthday balloons from Bear are still going strong :) :)

#7- Psycho girl next store seriously has her TV up way too loud. I have my own TV honey, I don't need yours to be up loud enough that I can hear your show too. If I really wanted to watch it, I could turn my own TV on.

#8- Ke$ha's "Take It Off" is uncomfortably catch.

#9- I ran 4.67 miles today at the gym (I tweeted before I was officially done!) and I'm super proud of myself because it was LITERALLY like 100 degrees in there! Okay, okay, okay. I'm exaggerating. But it was probably close to 80.

#10- I love internet banking. I seriously feel like life would be artificially hard if I had to use checks to pay my bills and didn't have instant ability to check my balances.

Tuesday Thoughts

#1- I shouldn't even be blogging, I shouldn't be allowed. I have so much work I have to get done and I feel like I'll  never get it done. Honestly, I feel panic attacks coming on when I think about everything I have to do/learn. I wish I was kidding.

#2- Yesterday I fell walking back from the gym (this ice will never melt!) and I got a gnarly (yes, gnarly) scrape on my knee. It's so nasty looking. It's just red with tons of tiny cuts. Ice 2 Emily 0.

#3- I let people think I'm smart/know what I'm doing because I like people to think nice things about me... but I really wish people knew how seldom I actually feel like I know what I am talking about.

#4- Since my last post I have gotten two new subbies. (Yay!!) One was my friend Amy, and the other was another blogger, with whom I think I have some degree of connection. (She either went to school with my sister, or knows someone who knows my sister... I'm fairly sure at least, as she follows the blog that my sister participated in for a while). Anyway, her name is Laura and you should check out her blog, Life Needs Edits. It's adorable and she's a much better blogger than me. If you want to follow her and don't want to create an account I subscribe through an RSS (I think?) feed, and it shows up on my iGoogle homepage whenever she updates.

#5- I have been tweeting with Callisonannee, whose beauty chanel I suggested the other day. She's a big sweetheart, so glad I discovered her channel. Go check it out if you haven't yet! Callie's YouTube. If you like her you should def. subscribe. I believe she's going to put up a new video tonight or tomorrow??

#6- This morning I was looking at my knees because the one is all cut up, and I noticed that this bone sticks out off the side of my leg kind of. And I've always had really pointy/boney/weird knees, but I swear being able to see this bone is a new thing. It's so creepy. Ahh, I have the weridest knees ever.

#7- I think I need to start making "To-Do" lists agian because I always have so much to do but I never get anything done.

#8- When I hear people talking about the gym, and I haven't gone or worked out during the day, I feel guilty... is that weird??

#9- I have a meeting tonight at 9PM for my debate with my group. 9PM, REALLY? I warned them that I may likely fall asleep... and they can't hold that against me.

#10- I think I've set my standards too high to be attainable any longer. Like I said, people think I'm really smart, I haven't gotten a B since my freshman year, and I study and prepare thuroughly for everything. And I have to wonder if that is even possible anymore. I just feel like there aren't enough hours in the day!

Monday Thoughts

#1- One Tree Hill is on in like um... about 30 minutes and I'm pretty stoked.

#2- Just made birthday cupcakes with my roomie and they smell delicious, glad I'm getting up at 5:30AM tomorrow to do yoga and go to the gym to work off the calories.

#3- I've decided the only area on my body that doesn't reflect how much I go to the gym is my stomach. Woops, guess my sweet tooth is ruining that one!

#4- I need to study for my business law exam that's on Wednesday. I'm pretty bummed about it.

#5- Last night I was up until close to midnight listening to the people next door argue. Ridiculous.

#6- My toe nails are baby ba-lue and oh so ready for some spring weather.

#7- I am painting my fingers tonight because they got kinda messed up since Friday. Can't decide which color, I know what shirt I'm wearing tomorrow, and I feel like "Cajun Shrimp" which is the color I intended to paint them, might look funny with it.. Hum.

#8- Went to the gym yesterday and ran 6 miles after walking through like 2 feet of snow. I know I'm dedicated.

#9- I'm not going to know what to do with myself when I have a "normal weekend" next weekend.

#10- Thinking of scheduling an apointment in the water massage thing in the club house,... not sure though. I wish I could schedule an apointment online. I hate the telephone!

Friday Mornin' Thoughts

#1- I got up at 5:30AM this morning, and got to the gym at 6:30 right when they opened and the girl working just went on and on about how dedicated I was to be at the gym so early on a Friday. Confidence booster? :) Yes!

#2- My knees, my knees, my KNEES. I cannot whine enough about how much they hurt! Ugh! I don't know what it is, everytime I run they like throb. It's getting old. I like running, so I wish they would stop hurting.

#3- I feel pretty lame that I like so much milk in my cereal since apparently I'm the only one! :P Oh well. Guess I'm weird, it's not a newsflash for me!

#4- I had a BIG cup of coffee this morning before my Management class and I saw Justin Beiber on the EarlyShow, I think that's enough to make my Friday.

#5- Speaking of the Early Show, I'm not sure if anyone else out there likes it as much as I do, but if you do like it and watch it Maggie is pregnant! How cute! She is so sweet, love her!

#6- I'm not sure how I feel about the Bones episode last night. It was kind of weird and a let down. I mean the idea behind it was interesting, but it was just a really bizare episode. At least in my opinion.

#7- I ordered something online and it came in a package, and through USPS and I'm afraid they left it at my door, and I won't be home til 2... are USPS the normal mail people???

#8- If we don't get a snow day on Monday, and I'm locked inside all weekend again, I might cry. I mean seriously. I miss fresh air. But as long as the snow benefits me, we'll be cool.

#9- I really love my burts bees chapstick. I originally got the normal one, that like "tingles" but last semester I got the pomegrante one on accident and its growing on me a lot.

#10- Today's Daily Puppy is super cute, her name is Tallie. She's not outstanding, so I won't post her pictures, but you should all go check her out on http://www.dailypuppy.com/ and give her some bones :)

Good Morning Darlings!

Hello everyone and Good Mornin!

That's right, I'm updating my blog at 5:45AM, whatevs. So I'm up and awake and looking at the snow forecast wboc is saying that we'll get 6-12 inches of snow. I just checked accuweather and they're saying that we are going to get like 10+ inches of snow, 1.36 inches of rain, .3 inches of ice, and gusts of wind close to 59 miles per hour. PHEW. I'm not sure, I want to buy it, I really do but I'm just not sure. If you look at the weather map, it shows this HUGE front that is going to come over us, but I really just have a bad feeling its going to be an all rain event, or go just north of us, as always happens.

Argh, I'm trying not to but I'm really getting my hopes up about this :( I know we're going to have to go to school on Monday and I am just going to be so heart broken when that happens.

Anyway, you might be wondering WHY ON EARTH I'm up so early. I gotta hit the gym this morning before I have class at 9, because I have a bad feeling they won't open this weekend, and if they do, I probably won't want to venture over there. Since I ran so far yesterday I think I'm going to do a 30 minute run this morning, and then just bike for 20... I know it's pretty lame, but I just don't think I have running far in me this morning !

Alright, well it's way too early for me to have real thoughts, so I suppose I'll go!

Ta-ta-for-now!

Did that really just happen?

So I like many other people in the world who haven't just started going to the gym this month, hate the month of January. Why? Because everyone decides to go to the gym in January (and June FYI- trying to get in shape for the summer, as if you can do so in just a month). Anyway, with these gym "newbies" come some major complaints.

This morning I was at the gym, when I first got to the treadmill room, about 8 of the 10 treadmills were taken. However, in the 40 minutes I was there it emptied out a bit, so I guess this next thing isn't "so big" of a deal. Alas, on about minute 17 of my run girl in pink sweatpants comes in. Girl in pink sweatpants gets on the treadmill. She starts messing with her phone, and I was like," Oh she must be getting her music set up, or finishing a text message before she starts to run." That would have made complete sense, I do that kind of stuff all the time. However, girl in pink sweatpants stands on the treadmill texting for about 5 minutes. Then, I hear someone talking, and I think they're talking to me, so I look over. Color me surprised, girl in pink sweatpants is literally standing on the treadmill having a phone conversation. Really girl in pink sweat pants, really? For minutes 23-26 girl in pink sweatpants chats on the phone merrily, while standing on the treadmill. After she got off the phone, I assume she's going to start actually working out. I was wrong. Girl in pink sweatpants decided to text on the phone for another 5 minutes. REALLY GIRL IN PINK SWEATPANTS, REALLY?! Finally, after about 15 minutes of literally just standing on the treadmill, girl in pink sweatpants starts to walk. I thought she was easing into it since she wasn't walking at a very quick pace. However, after about 5 or 6 minutes, she was still walking at a snail like pace. And I do understand that people need to ease into exercise, or else they could really get hurt but why couldn't girl in pink sweatpants text and talk on the phone, while walking at her snail like pace.

It's very frustrating because people come to the gym as part of a routine, and actually really want to use the machines. And more than once I've had to wait upwards of 10 minutes for a machine because people were just walking and walking and talking on their phones and texting on the machines. If you're not going to actually USE the machine, please get off of it. I consider power walking at least a somewhat justifiable use of a machine, especially when it's obvious that you're just starting to work out. But 2.0 miles per hour is not challenging yourself!!!

Coffee, Twix, Codification, and Becca

Wednesday Thoughts

#1 I watched "Teen Mom" last night on MTV. It was so, so, so, cute. Most of the baby's (except for Leah, who is Amber and Gary's daughter) had their first birthdays! It was too cute! Catelynn and Tyler got engaged, and I know they're way too young (but who am I to talk). But it was still so cute. :)

#2- I am currently watching a video about the "Codification" , which is the consolidation of all the accounting rules into topics, sub topics, etc, etc. It's not really that interesting, but I will need to know this, so it's good that it's provided to us I guess.

#3- I just treated myself to a coffee and a twix this afternoon. It's so bad, but, it's a treat.

#4- I'm starting to think that I have a weather sensitive knee condition. My knees are killing me and I'm not really sure waht to do about it.

#5- Sometimes I miss being an elementary education major.I know it would have gotten harder, but I really feel like everything was always really fun, and I was never "stressed". I love accounting, don't get me wrong, but I feel like it's so serious, and so formal, and sometimes I just want something care free and fun. I obviously won't be changing my major back, but I do miss it sometimes. I am hoping that when I get a job, I can talk to my boss about helping our with Junior Achievement. If you don't know what that is, it's like month or two long weekly visits where people from the community come to elementary and middle school class rooms, and teach the kids about some of the fundamentals of business. I remember they came to my school when I was little, and we had a couple weeks long simulation of owning a donut shop. And it was just kind of cool.. so I think that would be a really fun way to kind of do the 'best of both worlds'. But again, it'd have to be during the school day horus, so whatever boss I had would have to be supportive of my decision.

#6- I saw Bex on campus a few minutes ago and I was pretty excited about it. I love seeing old friends on campus. :o) Turns out she'd be willing to go shoe shopping with me on Saturday at some point, so I'm pretty excited about that.

#7- I have a lot of reading to catch up on and start over the next few days. I think I will be doing a lot more reading during the weekends this semester than I have done before. I feel as though all my classes are just more reading heavy this semester.

#8- I am meeting my friend Laura for dinner tonight, at 5:30. Since my knees are killing me, I think I am going to try and do a little yoga before dinner, instead of the gym. I really want to try and start having something like that that I can do at home, and that is less hard on my body for the days that I don't want to go to the gym.

#9- I love my fiance, and that he reads my blogs everyday. I saw him yesterday at lunch, and he said he'd just read my blog, and meant to come over and rub my neck (which I stated yesterday was sore) to show me he'd read it, but he'd forgotten. I just think that's really sweet. He's probably reading this right now, and his head is probably getting all big. :P

#10- Ever since I lost a little bit of weight, I don't mind wearing dress clothes as much. I used to feel like they were very restricting, but they don't feel that way anymore. I can sit in a button down top, and not feel like its too tight. And, I can wear dress pants without feeling like they fit funny. I'm pretty glad about that, because I have to dress up a lot. I actualyl kind of ike it, I love the pretty colors and the jewelery. I really just need to work on finding shoes.
